Update

Apple Fest is right around the corner and we are getting really excited for it. I have had a lot of people ask about the course (i.e. where it starts, where it ends, etc.) The course has been mapped out and it will start and end at Apple Creek Farms. I left the detailed map in Fillmore and I have yet to run it, but I hope to run it before the 18th and give an overview so you will know what to expect. I do know, that there will be some portions of the course that will be on dirt roads. I'm not sure if it is stroller friendly or not, but again I will check it out and give a review.

Disclaimer.......We are still really new to this as this is only the 2nd year, but whatever the case may be, you are guaranteed to have a great time.

As mentioned before, there will be a small prize awarded to the 1st place finisher in each category (for both the 5k and 10k). The categories are as follows:

up to 20 years old
20 - 24
25-29
30-34
35-39
40-44
45-49
50+
Also.....if you have not yet registered, it is not too late. If you are planning on doing either the 5k or 10k, register early to avoid paying a higher registration fee. We encourage you to do this as it makes the race day less hectic and we really want to start on time!!! Also to ensure you get the shirt size that you want, we encourage you to get the form in ASAP as the shirts will be ordered by the end of the week.
*****Don't forget the festivities on Friday night*****
We hope to have a good crowd this year and look forward to seeing you!

APPLE FEST AGENDA

Friday, September 18, 2009
Come enjoy a night of good food and great live entertainment. We are doing Apple Fest a little different this year. We will kick off the festivities Friday night at 6:30 pm with dinner, a live band and hay wagon rides. The dinner will be by donation only. Also there will be an opportunity to register for the Harvest race(s) on Friday night. For those who need accommodations, I have included links on the right side for places to stay in Fillmore. If you really want to "rough" it, there is a designated grassy area on the farm for tents. However, keep in mind there are no shower facilities.

This is for a great cause. All proceeds from the Harvest Races will be donated to Primary Children's Medical Center in memory of Kate Rosenvall. Last year we raised over $2,000, which went towards a discovery play zone for the waiting area in the PICU.
Also, you don't want to miss apple pressing and the best fresh apple cider you've ever tasted. Apple pressing, cobbler testing, live entertainment, hay wagon rides and much, much more. So stick around and enjoy a day on Apple Creek Farms.

We Hope To See You There!!!

2nd Annual Apple Fest & Memorial 5k/10k Run

We had so much fun last year that we thought....."Hey, Let's do it again!"

We're excited to announce the 2nd annual Apple Fest and Memorial 5k/10k walk/run located in beautiful Fillmore, UT. Last year we just hosted a 5k walk/run to raise money to donate to Primary Children's Medical Center in memory of Kate Rosenvall. We felt like we had a great turnout and ended up donating over $2000. This year, we've decided to add a 10k and a children's 1 mile walk/run as well. Along with the race, don't forget about all of the Apple Fest festivities: apple pressing, hay wagon rides, dinner & dancing and much, much more. We're still planning and tweaking things a bit, so check back often for updates.

We hope to see you at APPLE FEST 2009!!!
